Event registration

To register please go to the congress registration page and complete a registration form. 

Early bird discounts are available until 30 August 2024. Please visit the congress registration page for details on current early bird discount offers. 

Registration on the day of the congress is subject to availability. Please contact the Congress Secretariat to confirm availability. If space is available, payment on the day will be by credit card only. 

Day rates are available on our registration page. This day rate includes morning, afternoon tea and lunch at the congress venue. The day rate does not include tickets to social events, these can be purchased separately. 

The registration fee for participants includes admission to congress sessions, morning/afternoon tea and lunch at the congress venue. Please see the registration page for more details. 

To view your congress registration information please log in to the registration portal or refer to your registration confirmation email. If you have forgotten your log in or are unable to find your registration confirmation, please contact the Congress Secretariat. 

Please refer to the congress cancellation and refund policy. Cancellation fees may apply depending on the date of cancellation. All cancellations must be advised in writing to the Congress Secretariat. 

Congress accommodation

A limited number of rooms have been reserved on behalf of the congress delegates. Please visit the accommodation page for hotel information and rates. To secure the congress accommodation rates bookings should be made when you complete your congress registration online. If you have already registered and would like to book accommodation, please email the Congress Secretariat.

If you have requested congress accommodation, your accommodation will be listed and confirmed in your congress registration email. 

Please contact the Congress Secretariat to amend or cancel your congress accommodation. Cancellation fees will apply to cancellations made within 30 days of the congress dates. See the accommodation page for details. 

Yes, if you would like to request nights outside of the allotment, please input them into the additional nights field when completing your accommodation booking. The Congress Secretariat will confirm any additional nights with the hotel and send you through an updated confirmation email.  

Meals and dietary requirements

At the congress, morning/afternoon tea and lunch will be provided to congress delegates.

Tea, coffee and water will be available throughout the day at the congress venue.

Please advise us of any special dietary requirements when completing your congress registration. Your dietary requirements can be viewed and updated in the registration portal. 

Abstract submission

For details on how to submit an abstract please see the abstract/submission proposal/submission page. 

Abstract authors will be notified by email of the outcome of their submission. 

Visas

Dress code

The dress code for the congress is smart casual. 

Smart casual attire is recommended for all social events.

Information for speakers 

You can either email your presentation to the Congress Secretariat or take your presentation directly to the speaker preparation room located behind Goldfields Café & Bar. From Goldfields Theatre, cross the foyer and enter the corridor to the right of Goldfields Café & Bar. At the end of the corridor turn right, the room is located on the right-hand side and will be named appropriately.

Please contact the Congress Secretariat if you wish to make an important update to your submitted presentation.

Information for poster presenters

Poster presenters will receive an email confirming the size and specifications of the poster. 

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) provides convenient onsite photocopying and printing services, offering both A3 and A4 black and white printing options. Please note that this service incurs a charge. For inquiries or assistance, please reach out to MCEC directly at customerservice@mcec.com.au.

Alternatively, multiple Officeworks locations are conveniently situated nearby, with branches located at Bourke Street and South Melbourne.

Congress program

Please refer to the program page to see the full congress program. The program will also be available on the congress app (available one week prior to the congress).

Congress app

One week prior to the congress you will receive an email with the congress app login details and instructions. We recommend you download the app before you arrive at the congress. 

We highly recommend you download the congress app to maximise your engagement and enjoyment at the congress. On the congress app you can view the congress program, build your own personal agenda, take notes at sessions and export them for future reference. You can also view a list of the attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors and connect with them via direct in app messaging.

Transport and parking

Please refer to the venue page for details regarding transportation options to the venue.

At the congress

On arrival at the congress venue please check in and collect your name badge at the registration desk located in the Goldfields Foyer. 

Please refer to the program on the congress app or website for presentation session times and room details. The program will also be available on a noticeboard located near the registration desk at the venue. 

Please refer to the congress program on the congress website or app for mealtimes. 

Separate male and female prayer rooms including washing facilities are located in the Convention Centre, close to the customer service desk. 

Sustainability

The congress committee and organisers are committed to supporting sustainability practices and reducing the impact of our events on the environment. Our efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of this congress include:  

  • Printed materials are kept to a bare minimum. 
  • Attendees are encouraged to use electronic resources such as referring to the congress program via the congress app or website. 
  • Attendee name badges are printed on fully recyclable paper. 
  • Sponsors and exhibitors are encouraged to exercise environmental values and practices in their participation.
  • If budget allows, when booking your flight, choose to offset your carbon footprint. 
  • Most of the accommodation options offered by the congress organiser are located near the congress venue. Where possible, we encourage you to walk or use public transport between locations. 
  • Choose to follow the waste separation instructions at the venue and at your accommodation. 
  • Bring a drink bottle to fill at the water stations at the congress venue. 
  • Bring a reusable bag to carry your congress materials in. 
  • Recycle where possible, such as your lanyard.
